Republic Day 2026: What Are The Parade Timings, Tickets, Venue, Entry Rules? (Ministry of Defence)
New Delhi: With just few days left to celebrate India's 77th Republic Day, preparations in the capital and across the country are in full swing. And like every year, this time too a question is repeatedly arising among the people regarding the timings, tickets, venue, and entry rules.
The parade at Kartavya Path is a blend of military precision and cultural pride and people have begun securing tickets and planning their visit to witness the celebrations live.
The Republic Day Parade, which showcases India's defence forces, vibrant cultural tableaux and performances, traditionally takes place on Kartavya Path in New Delhi on the morning of January 26 i.e Monday and starts around 9:30 am.
European Union (EU) leaders Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and Antonio Costa, President of the European Council will be the chief guests at the Republic Day celebrations.
Tickets are available online through the official government portal and offline at designated counters in New Delhi.

Offline Counters in Delhi
Tickets can also be bought in person with an original ID at six locations, including, Sena Bhawan, Shastri Bhawan, Jantar Mantar, Parliament House reception, Rajiv Chowk and Kashmere Gate Metro Stations.
The counters operate daily from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm until January 14.
Ticket prices for the main Republic Day Parade are set at Rs 20 and Rs 100 depending on seating category. Price for full dress rehearsal is Rs 20 and for beating retreat ceremony on January 29 is Rs 100.
Valid Id required includes, Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN, Passport or any government-issued photo ID.
